Our Written Story Archive

Snail Tales has written out some of their retellings of traditional tales especially for you. If you decide to retell one of these stories, you could have a go at using your own words like a real storyteller! But if you are going to use the exact words we've written, it's polite to tell your audience where you found them.

We've also made a list of some websites we think are great sources of traditional tales. Perhaps you'll recognise some stories you have already heard us tell, and be able to see how we made them our own. These are traditional stories so you can re-tell them in your own words to your heart's content - but again, if you do use the exact words that you find on these sites, make sure that you know who wrote them down and tell your audience whose version of the tale you are using.
