Snail Tales Storytelling

News

Here's where we list any exciting news, either for us here at Snail Tales or the storytelling world in general — click here for the contents. You can also visit the Snail Tales Blog.

New website launched!

2012 will go down in history as a year of great excitement: Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her Diamond Jubilee, London hosted the Olympics... and Snail Tales got a brand new website!

Remember the snails who used to look after our menu? They've each had a makeover to look like a famous fairy tale character — can you tell who's who? Even Slogo, the Snail Tales logo, has got a new look — his new shell is there on the left, and you can glimpse his original look below...

The new website should make it easier for anyone to find what they are looking for. Teachers can quickly find a selection of stories for their children by visiting www.SnailTales.org/schools, organisations looking for workshops on storytelling and professional development can visit www.SnailTales.org/workshops, and similarly for events organisers or theatre managers. But that's not all... It's now even easier to find the work we've done in front of a camera and enjoy some examples of oral storytelling totally free! Just go to www.SnailTales.org/videos!

Of course, there's a lot left to come. For a start, the website isn't yet compatible with some mobile phones, there's a lot of news that needs to find its way back into our archive, and it's not yet possible to find out details about our storytellers. But all of this is going to come very soon, along with even more videos recorded recently by Chip and David! So make sure you keep updated in one or all of the following ways...

We look forward to sharing more stories with you soon!
