Snail Tales on the BBC again!
Fresh from the first Norwich performance of A Little Bird Told Me, Chip and Amy rushed to BBC Norfolk to promote Saturday's show and demonstrate the sort of creativity to be found within... by singing their original musical version of The Pied Piper of Hamelin.
The song, titled The Spooky Strummer, is a Snail Tales adaptation of a classic fairytale, and provides an insight into how Snail Tales have adapted the stories of Little Birds throughout East Anglia. The plot remains the same, but the telling is jazzed up to make it entertaining to all.
Online booking for Saturday's Norwich show is now closed, but you can phone the Norwich Playhouse direct on 01603 598 598. Or simply turn up for the 3pm start, with £7 for each adult and £5 for each child.
And if you want to catch The Spooky Strummer again, it doesn't matter whether or not you live in or near Norfolk - simply visit BBC.co.uk/norfolk and click on Listen Again. You need to search for the Matthew Gudgin show!
Or have the bluesy ballad brought to your school! It's included within the Ballads and Poems programme - book a workshop too, and your class could be making their own new versions of old storytime classics in minutes...
