Get qualified in storytelling

The Newbattle Abbey College and the Scottish Storytelling Centre have teamed forces to offer Scotland's first storytelling qualification.

The new graduates of the first ever class of storytelling from the college have enjoyed two weekend tuition gatherings, whilst building a project for presentation in-between.

Many of the graduates have commented on the thrill of being part of an ancient tradition - especially the Scottish storytelling tradition, which is one of the most vibrant in the world - along with the added benefits a developing storyteller can enjoy: increased confidence, creativity and positive attitudes. This provides further evidence of the power of practicing storytelling, and matches the sort of feedback we receive at Snail Tales following one of our storytelling workshops.
