Free resources - now available!
It is part of the Snail Tales ethos that storytelling "is an art deeply steeped in tradition which has been passed down for countless millennia, and is therefore a skill which is expected to be shared, explored and developed". For this reason, we have been working hard on getting the website to the stage where we can start offering free stories and storytelling guidelines. And now we've made it!
As of writing, the new Snail Tales Written Story Archive is available to all, including some of our favourite characters like Anansi and Hercules, myths from the Aboriginal Dreamtime, and even the complete version of Puddocky - as requested by Little Birds workshoppees.
If that weren't enough, we now have a new page for teachers' resources. Here's where we'll add lesson ideas and storytelling tips for the classroom. There's lots more to come, but for this month you can enjoy a lesson plan for Puddocky to get your class even more excited about learning.
We encourage all of our website's users to not just read these stories, but have a go at telling them to your friends and family too! All we ask is that, if you're going to use the words we've given you, you should pop in an acknowledgement that you heard it from Snail Tales; and, of course, users should be aware of our disclaimer that the material provided cannot be used by any member of the public for financial gain.
And there's more to come! Look out for our very first storytelling podcast, on its way soon with lesson ideas already written, and some exciting developments on our sister site, LittleBirdsClub.com...
