Peterborough theatre closes due to fire
The Broadway Theatre, Peterborough's foremost entertainment venue, could be closed down forever due to a suspected arson attack on 25 January this year.
The theatre, which also comprised the largest luxury cinema screen outside of London, has seen stars from Bob Geldof to Billy Connolly grace its stage. Snail Tales was deeply excited about following in these prestigious footsteps this July, with a collection of stories from East Anglian children entitled A Little Bird Told Me.
Fortunately, the entire city of Peterborough has rallied to support their distinguished venue. Peterborough MP Stewart Jackson has even approached the Government in a bid for their support. He commented for Peterborough's local newspaper, the Evening Telegraph, that to say this was the end for the Broadway "would be a tragic loss for the city and the city's culture."

And watch this space for the future of A Little Bird Told Me in Peterborough. Please note: schools running Little Birds projects in Peterborough will not be affected.
